What a free AI astrology reading actually is
Most free astrology online is a sun sign column: one paragraph written for a twelfth of the world, published in advance, and true of almost anyone on almost any day. It is free because it costs nothing to write once and show to millions of people.
This is the other thing. You ask one specific question, and it is answered against the sky as it actually stands at the moment you ask, using the same calculations an astrologer would run. Nothing is pre-written, and no two answers are the same, because no two questions and no two moments are.
Two readings a day are free here without an account. That is enough to test it properly on something you already know the answer to, which is exactly how you should test any astrologer.
How it works
Ask in your own words
No form, no dropdowns and no birth data required to start. Type the question the way you would say it out loud, whether that is about a job offer, someone who has gone quiet, or a year that has felt stuck.
It reads the sky as it stands now
Your question is answered against the real positions of the Sun, Moon and planets at this moment, calculated from an ephemeris rather than recalled from memory. That is the difference between astrology and a chatbot doing an impression of one.
You get an answer, not a horoscope
A committed reading with a position in it, plus what would have to be true for it to hold. Where the honest answer is that astrology cannot call it, you will be told that instead of being handed a comfortable guess.
What it will not do
It will not name a year, promise that a particular person is coming back, or tell you how a court case, a visa application, an exam or a medical question is going to land. Those are not astrology to call, and an advisor that answers them anyway is selling certainty rather than insight.
What it does instead is name the pattern you are inside, tell you what it is asking of you, and say plainly where the chart runs out. If you are in crisis, it will stop reading and point you at real human help.

Is the AI astrology reading really free?

Do I need my birth time?
Not to ask a question here. Your birth time is what fixes your rising sign and your houses, so it makes a reading sharper, but the Sun, Moon and planetary signs are accurate without it. You can add a birth time later and the chart is recalculated.
How is this different from asking a general AI chatbot?
A general chatbot recalls where the planets were from its training data, which is often wrong by a whole sign, and it will happily invent a placement to fill a gap. This advisor is given the actual ephemeris for the current moment, and with an account it is given your calculated natal chart, in your own system: tropical with Placidus or Whole Sign houses, or sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa for a Jyotish reading.
Can it tell me when something will happen?
It will speak to timing in windows and seasons where the transits genuinely support it, and it will refuse to invent a date. It also declines outcomes that are not astrology to call, such as court results, visa decisions, exam results and medical questions. That refusal is deliberate. A reading you can check against reality is worth more than one that flatters you.
Western or Vedic astrology?
Both. Charts are calculated tropical with Placidus or Whole Sign houses, or sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa for Jyotish, and the reading names the system it is using so a placement can be checked against the chart you already know.
Is my conversation private?
